Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher

A diverse SEN school in Enfield is looking for a Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher to lead their group of eight pupils, with complex needs inclusive of profound and moderate learning difficulties (PMLD), speech language and communication needs (SLCN) and medical needs such as epilepsy. Your pupils will be non-verbal and communicate via PODD books and eye gaze devices. Your lessons will have a strong sensory focus to encourage engagement.

• £160-£220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Long-term, full-time
• Can interview/trial immediately, including after school
• Great transport links and parking available

The successful Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher will have:

• Confidence in collaborating and in coordinating support staff
• Experience teaching SEN inclusive of profound and moderate learning difficulties (PMLD), speech language and communication needs (SLCN) and medical needs such as epilepsy
• Experience delivering sensory lessons
• Familiarity with using PODD book and eye gaze devices
• QTS and a valid Enhanced DBS
• Good references
