A welcoming SEN school in Harrow is looking for a Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher to join their fast-paced setting. As a Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher you will be leading the learning of pupils in Key Stages 3/4 who have needs inclusive of profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), global delay (GD), autism (ASD) and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). As your pupils will have some social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), we are looking for a Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher with a therapeutic approach. Your lessons will be nurture-centred and will encourage positive social interactions.

  • £160-£220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Long-term, full-time
  • Can interview/trial immediately
  • Great transport links and on-site parking available

The successful Special Needs Teacher / SEN Teacher will have:

  • Good SEN knowledge and experience, especially with SEN such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), global delay (GD), autism (ASD), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • Understanding of nurturing principles
  • QTS (or equivalent) and a valid DBS
  • Good references
